Another Debenhams Haul!

I decided to take advantage of 10% off beauty at Debenhams as well as 10% off for Beauty Club members; so a whopping 20% off - and that's quite a lot for Mac et al...

So I got Mac lippies in verious shades of pink... Girl About Town, Speed Dial and Craving, Nails Inc Baker Street and Mac Hey, Sailor! Pro Longwear Bronzer in Sun Dipped.
Girl About Town is a fab hot pink, a great Summer alternative to red lips. Speed Dial is a pretty, muted sugary pink, a perfect 'everyday' shade. Craving may be slightly too dark for my NW20 complexion...I'm still deciding - I think it looks a bit 90s maybe? Hmm...
Sun Dipped, however, is wonderful! VERY finely milled, buttery soft, and imparts a realistic glow, not muddy looking or too yellowy.
Baker Street is a fab royal blue, I do love a pop of colour on my fingertips, I must say!
And here they all are swatched on my chubby arm! (Apart from Baker Street, obviously!)

Mac Reel Sexy v Vegas Volt

I managed to get hold of Reel Sexy from the Selfridges website - I had to pay delivery which was ridiculously steep for one lipstick BUT I do love the colour. It looks almost neon to me, and
I would describe it as a corally orange. It's much paler than Vegas Volt and more 'in-your-face'. It's the perfect colour to wear when I go to Wembley on Saturday to support Blackpool FC (the Tangerines) in the play-offs!

Mac Hey Sailor Red Racer and Ruby Woo Comparison

Red Racer arrived today and I love it already! In the tube it looks slightly more yellow-toned than Ruby Woo, and it has a sheerer, more moisturising finish. Applied, it appears more pink toned, strangely. Swatched on my wrist, it's the one on the left. I think it's more wearable and forgiving than Ruby Woo and certainly easier to apply on the hop. My new fave red lippie, I think!

Mini Debenhams Haul!

My online Debenhams order finally arrived today after the long bank holiday weekend. I got MAC Dollymix, which has been on my wish list for ages, ditto the Nails Inc magnetic teal polish, and finally MAC Lightscapade from the Reel Sexy collection. Lightscapade doesn't have as much prominent veining as previous versions I've seen, but it still imparts a nice subtle glow on my NW20 skin as an all-over face powder.

MAC Ruby Woo

Here I am wearing Mac Ruby Woo lippie. I love this colour - terrific staying power, and as it is a blue-toned red, it has a slight whitening effect on the teeth - which is quite important for a smoker!

My Nails Inc Collection!

I'm going to kick off by sharing my Nails Inc collection. There's about 90 or so there. I got the display stand from a nail supply store in New Cross and hung it on my bedroom wall - I may be easily pleased, but it looking at it does make me happy! Simple pleasures...

Blog introduction

So, hello and welcome to my blog. I'm a little late to this game, having just turned 36, but old dogs can learn new tricks, right?
